Dispel

Dispel removes certain buffs or debuffs from the target. In most cases, dispelling an ally unit removes debuffs (negative effects, red border) and dispelling an enemy removes buffs (positive effects, green border), but there are some dispels that remove both Buffs & Debuffs. Only a few dispels remove stuns. In addition, certain status effects cannot be removed at all (blue border), unless explicitly specified.

Transfer

Certain abilities can transfer buffs and/or debuffs from one unit to another: The following abilities possess this ability:

•  Parasite's Facehug (Transfers buffs from enemy target to self, transfer debuffs from self to target)
•  Puppet Master's Voodoo Puppet (Puppet transfers debuffs, stuns, Puppeteer's Hold and Puppet Show from itself to linked target)
•  Ichor's Transfusion (Transfers buffs from enemy target to self, transfer debuffs from self to target)

In practice, transfer functions like a dispel. It generally follows the same rules as dispel does, but a few status effects cannot be transferred.
