Lore: Apex was born in darkness by The Burning Ember. This power has marked him as the true evil, the beginning and the end of Newerth.
 
  Apex is a Strength Initiator who excels at mobility and sustaining himself throughout the game. Apex is best used as a followup to other initiators, so team him up with other heroes that can start fights like Flux.

Passively causes any non-DoT Damage dealt by Apex to apply Burning Ember to enemies, dealing 9/18/27/36 Magic Damage per second for 4 seconds.

If enemies are affected by Burning Ember, they receive a 1.5/2/2.5 second Stun and have the Burning Ember duration extended by 5 seconds. Otherwise, they receive a 0.5 second Stun.

 
Notes
  • The ring deals maximum damage to enemies within 500 units and tapers off linearly to 100 Magic Damage at 1200 units.
  • The ring expands from where you cast the ability and reaches its maximum radius over 0.5 seconds.
  • The ring is actually an expanding circle, so the ring will affect enemies that step into the radius within 0.5 seconds of casting it.
