Balphagore's gluttonous love of corpses draws him to wherever the Hellbourne's atrocities are at their worst. Armed with an array of dark powers, this daemon is not to be trifled with when hungry -- and Balphagore is always hungry.
Balphagore is a flexible, tanky hero able to push and teamfight with his summons and area-of-effect abilities. Hell on Newerth allows him to react to spell-heavy opposition by turning their mana against them with cataclysmic results.

One of the many pathogens festering in Balphagore infects an enemy. The pathogen robs its victim of any spellcasting ability and damages them as the disease runs its course. It then spreads to any of the victim's nearby allies.
Range: 500 Mana Cost: 105/110/115/120 Cooldown: 12 seconds
Applies Contagion to target for 2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds. Upon expiration or on use, Contagion is applied to enemies in a 300 radius around the original target for the same duration. Contagion will also transfer to nearby enemies if the original target dies while under its effects.
Every 0.5 seconds the debuff is on an enemy, it will grant 1 charge to Hell on Newerth or reduce its cooldown by 1 second if it is not yet ready.
Beats the hell out of swine flu.

After not gaining charges for 30 seconds, loses 1 charge per second. While on cooldown, cooldown decreases by 1 second for every 50 mana spent by enemy units. 80+ charges: Spawns Volatile Minions on each enemy hero hit. Volatile minions can be killed by either team. When killed, they explode doing 125/200/275 Magic Damage to enemies in a 200 radius. Cooldown increases to 120 seconds.
Charges are gained based on mana spent by nearby enemies. After 30 seconds without a nearby enemy casting a spell, one charge is lost per second.
Does not gain charges while in cooldown, instead the cooldown is lowered by 1s per spell cast in the radius.
