When news of the war in Newerth reached the Berzerker, he hastily left his frozen homeland in the North. Though he holds no allegiance to the Legion, the chance to face hell's demons is one the Berzerker could not pass up. An incredible warrior with an indomitable will, the Berzerker's reckless disregard for his own life gives him strength and power seemingly beyond measure, albeit at a risk. Once he has steeled himself, only death will stop him from killing his foes.

The Berzerker throws a spike-tipped chain from his left hand at target hero that impales and attaches to them.
Range: 600
Mana Cost: 80/90/100/110
Cooldown: 14 seconds
Attaches a chain to the target for 5 (10) seconds, dealing an initial 40/80/120/160 Physical Damage and applying a tapering 40% (50%) Movement Speed Slow and a Restrain.

After 5 (10) seconds or on second activation, deals an additional 40/80/120/160 Physical Damage and Immobilizes the target for 1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds. If this pushes the target below 20% of health, it is executed

The chain breaks with no negative effects if target moves more than 850 units away or becomes Physical Immune.

How's the Chain Reaction?
  • The slow and Restrain is removed when the chain breaks.
  • With Staff of the Master.jpg Staff of the Master, the slow changes from a tapering slow to a static slow.
  • With Staff of the Master.jpg Staff of the Master, the second activation will unconditionally kill a unit, regardless of immunities and death prevention effects, like Legionnaire.jpg Legionnaire's Legionnaire Decapitate.jpg Decapitate.

The Berzerker sets his sights on his target, allowing nothing to get in the way!

Mana Cost: 75
Cooldown: 14 seconds
Target an enemy hero to apply Marked for Death for ^o10 seconds^*, granting you vision of the target for the duration.

When facing or moving towards the target you gain bonus 15/20/25/30% Movement Speed and 40 Attack Speed as well as Unitwalking with a 1.5 second linger time.

Resets the cooldown of this ability and Chain Spike if the target dies while Mark for Death is active on them.

The Berzerker becomes enraged when attacking targets, his anger growing with each successive strike.
Every attack made by Berzerker increases his chance to Critically Strike the target for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8x by 8%. The enraged state lasts 5 seconds.

The Berzerker has no concern for himself, and swings wildly at his foes, slashing both himself and his target with the jagged chains wrapped around his arms.
Cooldown: 60/40/20 seconds
Activate to gain 60/80/100% Stun Reduction, Debuff Reduction, and Slow Resistance for 6/8/10 seconds.

Can be used while Silenced or Stunned to break the CC.

  • Carnage only reduces stuns and debuffs that are applied as a status effect. It cannot reduce stuns/debuffs that are applied by an affector (Ex. Deadwood Rotten Grasp.jpg Rotten Grasp, Myrmidon Weed Field.jpg Weed Field) or from a channeling ability (Ex. Pollywog Priest Tongue Tied.jpg Tongue Tied).
  • Carnage also does not reduce the duration of stuns that knock up or push the target (Ex. The Gladiator Pitfall.jpg Pitfall, Rampage Horned Strike.jpg Horned Strike). However, if the stun has both a knock-up stun and a state-based stun, then the state-based stun can be reduced (Ex. Magmus Lava Surge.jpg Lava Surge).

The Berzerker's presence saps enemies strength around him.
Range: 600
Mana Cost: 50
Cooldown: 20 seconds
When activated, steals one Strength and heal 10 Health from enemy heroes within 600 radius every 0.5 seconds for the next 2/3/4/5 seconds. Stolen Strength is retained for 6 seconds afterwards.

Instantly deals 100/150/200/250 Magic Damage to non-hero units within range upon activation.

  • Removed in Version 4.3.3.
  • When Strength Sap is cast, it creates an affector around Berzerker which applies a charge of "-1 Strength per charge" debuff every 0.5 seconds, while also applying a charge of "+1 Strength per charge" buff to Berzerker for each enemy hero within radius at that time.
  • Whenever a charge of the buff and debuff is applied, the duration refreshes to 6 seconds. When Strength Sap ends, the duration of the buff refreshes to 6 seconds.
  • Removes up 4/6/8/10 Strength from each hero, equal to of 76/114/152/190 Max Health and 0.12/0.18/0.24/0.3 Health Regeneration from each hero (plus 4/6/8/10 Base Damage for Strength heroes). Berzerker can gain a maximum of 20/30/40/50 Strength, equal to 380/570/760/950 Max Health, 0.6/0.9/1.2/1.5 Health Regeneration, and 20/30/40/50 Base Damage.
