Critical Strike, when triggered, causes the user's attack to deal multiplied damage.
When a Critical Strike is triggered, your attack will deal increased damage, which is shown by the red number that pops up. The red number displays your damage before any damage reductions take place.
Critical Strike chance is rolled on a per attack attempt basis. This means if you were to cancel a Critical attack before it comes out, your next attack will reroll for Critical Strike chance again.
It is possible to have multiple sources of Critical Strike, but while Critical Strike chance can be stacked diminishingly, only the highest Critical Strike damage multiplier that triggers will be used. In addition, effects that trigger on Critical Strike (Ex. Drunken Style granting an Evasion buff on Critical Strike) will only activate if the respective Critical Strike source procs.
Critical Strike's damage is affected by bonuses from both Base Damage and plain Damage, and affects Lifesteal and Cleave damage. Effects that add bonus damage of a fixed damage type to attacks are not affected by Critical Strike.
