Lore:
Deadlift was human once, a prisoner of the Hellbourne named Eckol who was forced to turn his fellow prisoners into feed for the Fright Hounds. He had forsaken all hope when his long-lost wife, Reena, appeared next to him--she was next in line for the slaughter. Eckol found hope again, and courage. He fought to save Reena and escape the prison camp just as Calamity shattered Newerth closer to the Third Corruption. Reena was consumed by the spreading evil and pulled into the underworld while Eckol was torn apart by shrapnel and cursed with the power to raise the dead. He gathered the molten scraps of metal and used them to hold his ruined body together, vowing to fill the underworld with souls until he found Reena once again.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

Death Grip
[ Q ]
Deadlift Death Grip.jpg
Cast Time: 0.3 / 0.7 seconds
Target Position
Type - Magic
Sends a wave in the target direction that damages and slows the first hero hit.
Range: 1000
Mana Cost: 95/110/125/140
Cooldown: 15 seconds
Channeling Time: 3.571 seconds
Target a location to begin channeling, sending a wave that deals 80/160/240/320 Magic Damage to enemies in a line.

Enemy heroes receive a 30% Movement Speed Slow for 0.5/1/1.5/2 seconds. Channelling further increases the slow strength by up to 60% and duration by up to 2 seconds, reaching full strength after 2 seconds of channeling.

Activate again while channelling to turn the wave toward your cursor. The wave will not travel further than 1000 range if the channel is cancelled.

Lockedown!

Notes
  • Slow strength duration scales linearly from 30% to 90% with channel time.
  • The wave has a projectile speed of 700.
  • The wave is not removed immediately when channel is cancelled. Instead, the wave will travel its maximum distance before expiring.
  • When Death Grip is first cast, the wave will travel 2500 units in the target direction until a Turn is issued.
  • Each time a Turn is issued, the current Death Grip wave will expire and another wave projectile is created, which travels up to 1000 units in that direction.

Onslaught
[ W ]
Deadlift Onslaught.jpg
Cast Time: 0 / 0 seconds
Target Unit Enemy Units & Towers
Type - Physical
Forces nearby units to attack the target.
Range: 400/600/800/1000
Radius: 1000
Mana Cost: 75/90/105/120
Cooldown: 25/23/21/19 seconds
Target an enemy unit or structure to force all allied non-hero units within 1000 radius of yourself to attack the target for 6 seconds.

The target receives a 70% tapering Movement Slow 1.5 seconds.

Affected units gain max Movement Speed, Unitwalking, and 20/40/60/80 Attack Speed for the duration. Units affected deal 50% of their normal damage to heroes.

Kills made by affected units are credited to you.

Have you lost your mind?

Notes
  • Onslaught actually grants +522 Movement Speed to non-hero units, which means they can be reduced below max movespeed with enough Movement Slow effects.

Deadlift The Dead Shall Rise.jpg
Cast Time: 0.1 / 0.1 seconds
Passive
Activate to consume health to summon an undead and Passively raise nearby units from the dead
Passively revives Creeps and Neutrals that die nearby and has them assist you for 60 seconds. Revived units deal 50/75/100/125% damage and take 400/300/200/100%.

Maximum of 4 undead units.

Leveling this ability causes Onslaught to spawn 2 Undead to attack the target.

Newerth will be reborn!

Notes
  • All undead units die when Deadlift dies.
  • There is a 2 second delay before a unit revives after dying.
  • When the maximum unit count is reached but other units are resurrected or spawned, the unit that has the lowest uptime will be killed.
  • Both summoned and revived units count towards the undead cap.
  • Undead units have Unitwalking and are Silenced.
  • Revived Minotaur.jpg Minotaur, Snotter.jpg Large Snotter, Vagabond Leader.jpg Vagabond Leader still gain their auras.
  • While revived units can be selected, they cannot be directly controlled and since they are silenced, they cannot cast abilities.
  • If an undead units gets more than 375 units away from Deadlift, they will be commanded to follow Deadlift and gain 200 Movement Speed until they get close to Deadlift.
  • Summoned undead units and revived undead units behave slightly differently from each other. While revived undead units copy Deadlift's commands and only attack whatever Deadlift is attacking, summoned undead units will continuously attack any nearby unit unless they become too far away from Deadlift.

Resurrection
[ R ]
Deadlift Resurrection.jpg
Cast Time: 0.5 / 0.5 seconds
Target Dual
Type - Superior Magic
Gives the ability to raise ally heroes from the dead.
Range: 99999
Mana Cost: 100/125/150
Cooldown: 180/120/60 seconds
Channeling Time: 3 seconds
Target a Gravestone that was left by a dead ally to revive them with 60/80/100% Health and Mana after a 3 second channel.

You and the targeted gravestone are revealed while channeling and the gravestone's health is doubled. Normally they die in 2 hits. Allies revived will not leave a Gravestone nor lose gold from dying for 30 seconds.

Sometimes the hand of fate must be forced!

Notes
  • When you are being targeted for a Resurrection, an option to accept or reject the Resurrection will pop up. Players have 20 seconds to decide and will revive as soon as either the channel completes or when Resurrection is accepted if it is.
  • If an ally rejects Resurrection, this ability will not be put on cooldown, provided their Gravestone is still standing.
  • While a recently revived hero does not lose gold on death, enemies can still gain gold and experience for killing it.
