Emerald Warden is a ranged agility hero in Heroes of Newerth.

Lore: From a lost scout's journal: This visage of a great horned beast, imposing in stature and ornately bejeweled, descends to us a representative of an unknown druidic sect of beasts. At his behest lesser creatures of the forest fall under command, and when his bow is raised a foe shall fall.
 
  The Emerald Warden is a ranged semi-carry that depends heavily on using high attack and spell range to kite and decimate opponents from afar. He specializes in finding hiding enemy heroes with Hunter's Command and Summon Gawain.

Summon an uncontrollable wolf that seek out the nearest hero in range, including those in fog, damaging, slowing and revealing them on collision.
Radius: 2000
Mana Cost: 80/95/110/125
Cooldown: 16 seconds
Summons up to 2 wolves that chase the 2 closest enemy heroes within radius. Wolves can be seen through fog.

The wolf will charge at its target when it is close to it. On impact, deals 90/155/220/285 Magic Damage (0.75x if target is not visible) and applies a 20% Movement Speed Slow for 4 seconds. Target is also Sighted and Revealed for this duration.

Notes
  • Wolves do not track Stealthed units.
  • The wolves moves at 522 Movement Speed, and when within 300 units of its target, it will charge at it with 1200 speed.
  • Only allies can see the wolf through fog. Enemies can only see the wolf if it is in vision.

Cooldown: 10 seconds
Creates an Overgrowth at target position. Overgrowth take 1.5 seconds before it becomes active on its own. Afterwards, the Overgrowth is Stealthed.

Enemies who step on the Overgrowth will trigger it, revealing itself and entangling enemies in a 175 radius for up to 1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds while it is alive. Enemies take 60/70/80/90 Magic Damage per second (1.5x against non-hero units) and are Immobilized while entangled.

Up to 2/3/4/5 Overgrowths may be placed at a time. Overgrowths provide 400 day and night vision, last for 5 minutes and take 2 hits to destroy. You may attack your own Overgrowth to trigger it and entangle enemies around it, including while being armed.

Notes
  • Grants a sub-ability that reveals and entangles around the nearest, already active Overgrowth.
  • Overgrowths activate and when an enemy unit steps within 175 units of it, and entangles enemies within 175 units of it.
  • Overgrowths take 1 hit to destroy if it has not revealed itself. Once it reveals itself and entangles enemy units, it takes 2 hits to destroy.
  • The number of active Overgrowths are displayed as charges.
  • Overgrowths cannot blocks neutral camps from spawning.

Permanently gain an uncontrollable familiar. Gawain gains Diving Strike at level 1, Forest's Touch at level 2, and Emerald Storm at level 3.

Cooldown: 600 seconds
Diving Strike: Deals 100/200/300 Physical Damage to an enemy hero within 650 units. 8/7/6 second cooldown.

Forest's Touch: When your Health goes below 40%, heals you for 200 Health and applies a buff that grants 40 Attack Speed and Movement Speed for 5 seconds. 35 second cooldown.

Emerald Storm: Channels a storm for up to 4 seconds that deals 50 Magic Damage per second and applies a 30% Movement Speed Slow to enemies in a 400 radius. 50 second cooldown.

Staff of the Master allows you to summon another Gawain on an ally hero.

  • Gawain provides 600 Clearvision around it.
  • Gawain follows the hero at 360/400/440 Movement Speed and has a turn rate of 450.
  • Staff of the Master also enhances Gawain's abilities in the following ways:
    • Gawain Diving Strike Diving Strike: Applies a 0.3 second stun.
    • Gawain Forest's Touch Forest's Touch: Heals an additional 200 Health to ally heroes in a 400 radius around target over 5 seconds.
    • Gawain Emerald Storm Emerald Storm: Reveals enemies in the storm radius for 8 seconds.
