Drunken Master is a melee strength hero in Heroes of Newerth.

Lore: For the Drunken Master, there exists only a single cardinal rule: that booze shall flow, freely and indefinitely. At first apathetic to the Hellbourne threat, the Drunken Master leapt to action when a wise sage explained to him that should the Hellbourne overrun Newerth, there would be no more booze. Armed with expert combat techniques and fueled by questionable substances, the Drunken Master embodies that which is unpredictable and unyielding.
 
  Drunken Master is a mobile Strength hero who is capable of delivering devestating blows to his enemies if he can manage to complete his combo. Staying on the move is key to playing Drunken Master, as Stagger will help you avoid many a threat and position yourself properly for a powerful punch.

Lunge

Drunken Master Lunge

Cooldown: 13/12/11/10 seconds
Lunges at the target and attacks it, dealing 50% of your Attack Damage + 20/40/60/80 Physical Damage on impact, and then spinning around it for up to 1.5 seconds. Target is Stunned while you are spinning.

After a complete spin or on second activation, attacks it a second time, pushes the target 300 units away and applies a 15/20/25/30% Movement Speed Slow for 2 seconds.

Notes
  • Drunken Master lunges at the target at 1700 speed.
  • Silences do not prevent Drunken Master from activating the second activation of Lunge.
  • On the second activation, destroys trees in 60 radius around the target while being pushed.
  • Target is pushed over 0.25 seconds.
  • Both attacks on Lunge behave like autoattacks, and can apply modifiers, and works with Critical Strike, Lifesteal, and Harkon's Blade.
  • Lunge attacks are affected by Evasion and Miss Chance and can miss, but it will always apply the stun and slow.
  • Cast Range of this ability can not be boosted by Jade Spire Jade Spire.
  • If you have at least 6 Drunk Charges from Drink, they are automatically used to increase the Movement Slow on the second attack to 45/50/55/60%.

Staggers at target location, following pathing, and deals 45/70/95/120 Physical Damage (1.75x to non-hero units) to enemies in radius. Disjoints projectiles on cast.

After Staggering, Drunken Master gains a 35/50/65/80 Attack Damage and 15/20/25/30 Movement Speed buff for 4 seconds.

Using Lunge resets the cooldown of Stagger.

Each Drunk Charge grants 1% Evasion, 0.5% Stun/Debuff Duration Reduction, and a 1.5% chance to Critically Strike for 1.3/1.4/1.5/1.6x Damage. Each Drunk Charge expires naturally every 2 seconds, healing you for 7 Health.

When Lunge is used, consumes 6 Drunk Charges to add 30% Movement Speed Slow. When Stagger is used, consumes 4 Drunk Charges to add +50 Movement Speed. Gain 10 Drunk Charges upon obtaining a Kill/Assist on a real enemy hero.

    • With Staff of the Master Staff of the Master, this increases to 28/37/46/55% Evasion, 14/18.5/23/27.5% Stun/Debuff Duration Reduction, and 42/55.5/69/82.5% chance to deal a Critical Strike.

Passive
Attacking the enemy from multiple sides allows Drunken Master to catch them off guard, popping them into the air with the strength of a drunken brawler.
Radius: 1200
Causes 3 strike points to appear on nearby enemy heroes.

Any non-DoT damage from Drunken Master will activate a strike point from his direction.

When all 3 strike points have been attacked, Drunken Master will perform a punch that deals 250/375/500 Physical Damage and knocks them into the air, applying a 1/1.5/2 second Stun.

Strike points reset after 12 (4) seconds if no new strike point was activated or if they were all activated.

  • Strike points are placed in three 120 degree cones, centered on the north, southeast, and southwest part of the hero, regardless of the direction the unit is facing.
