The Snotter Boss was the Boss Neutral of Mid Wars, temporarily replacing Zorgath and Transmutanstein in Version 3.4.2, Version 3.4.4 to Version 3.4.8, and in the Mid Wars version of Rift Wars. While it's alive, it will keep spawning and sending Neutrals to the lane.

On death, it drops a Power Rune, two Tokens of Vision, and a Doom Bringer.

Abilities[edit | edit source]

In addition to these abilities, every 30 seconds, the Snotter Boss gains 2 Damage, and stops gaining stats after 60 minutes. The Snotter Boss is also immune to Armor reduction effects (but not Magic Armor reductions).

All pre-mitigated damage dealt to the Snotter Boss is capped at 1000. When the Snotter Boss has less than 1000 Health, it loses 120 Armor and 60 Magic Armor, having 60 Armor and 20 Magic Armor with no other modifiers. When attacked, it loses its Health Regeneration until it has not taken damage for 10 seconds.

All abilities (except Ability 5) have a chance to trigger once the Snotter Boss takes damage from an attack.

After being attacked, performs a check every 2 seconds. Has a 30% chance to spawn 7 Snotlings at a random target enemy hero's position within 650 radius.

These Snotlings have 250 HP, 20 Attack Damage, 3 Armor, 5.5 Magic Armor and last 7 seconds. When they attack a non-building unit, applies a stacking 1% movement speed slow for 3 seconds.

 
Notes
  • When activated, the Snotter Boss will launch a projectile that spawns Snotlings on impact. The snot lands after a 1 second delay.
  • Snotlings spawn in a 250 radius ring around the target position.
  • Destroys trees in a 250 radius around target position.

5 seconds after being attacked, Snotter Boss targets a random enemy hero within 650 radius, becomes invulnerable and jumps into the air for 4 seconds. Snotter Boss' HP gets reduced to 1 during this period.

Upon landing at the target's position, deals 5000 Magic Damage within a 450 radius area. Splits into a maximum of 10 Snotters (200 HP and 60 movement speed with everything-walking and GadgetImmunity) that are 450 units away from the center of the explosion. Each Snotter moves towards the center.

Upon reaching 40 radius of the center, they disappear and grant the Snotter Boss 1000 HP. Once all the remaining alive Snotters reach the center, Snotter Boss gets reformed with the proper HP value (Snotter Boss loses 900 HP per snotter killed). If all the Snotters are killed, then the Snotter Boss revives with 1000 HP.

 
Notes
  • The Pieces of Snotter spawn in a 450 radius ring around the target position.
  • Destroys trees in target area.
  • Snotter pieces have a maximum (and minimum) Movement Speed of 60.
  • Snotter pieces have passive 100% Stun and Slow Resistance as well.
  • If the Snotter Boss had less than 1000 Health when it uses this ability, it will land without spawning any Pieces.

After being attacked, performs a check every 2.5 seconds. Has a 30% chance to target a random enemy hero within 800 radius and charges at the target.

Deals 200 Magic Damage, Stuns the target for 0.2 seconds and pushes the target 300 units away from the Snotter Boss. Also applies a 50% Movement Speed Slow to the target for 2 seconds.

Hurls snot at target position, spawning a random group of Neutrals that patrol around the river.

- 1 Minotaur & 3 Antlings
- 1 Catman Champion & 3 Antlore Healers
- 3 Pustulas
- 3 Antlore Necromancers
- 3 Large Snotters & 3 Snotters

 
Notes
  • Starts with 8 charges. Every 5 seconds, the Snotter Boss will check if there is an enemy hero within 800 radius. If there are no heroes in radius, removes a charge. At 0 charges, it will use this ability and reset charges to 8.
    • If left alone, it will use this ability every 40 seconds.
  • The snot lands after a 1 second delay.
  • Destroys trees in a 100 radius around target position.
  • Spawned Neutrals have a maximum lifetime of 180 seconds.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Unlike other Neutrals, the Snotter Boss will spawn as soon as the game starts.

When the Snotter Boss is killed, it will respawn exactly 10 minutes after its death. It is impossible to prevent the Snotter Boss from spawning.

Lair[edit | edit source]

The Snotter Boss cannot be attacked from outside its lair. Any attacks attempted from outside its lair will show a pop-up as a Miss, but True Strike will not allow you to damage the Snotter Boss from outside its lair. However, abilities will damage the Snotter Boss, regardless damage type or whether the user is inside or outside the lair.

AI[edit | edit source]

The Snotter Boss will not attempt to use its abilities besides Ability 5 until it has been attacked.

If the Snotter Boss is lured outside of his lair for more than 3 seconds, it will be forced to return to his lair. When this happens, any debuffs are dispelled from the Snotter Boss, and the Snotter Boss gains Invulnerability, Cliffwalking and Buildingwalking until it returns to its lair.

The Snotter Boss will never attack Towers.

Bounty[edit | edit source]

When the Snotter Boss is killed, the killer will receive 350 gold. In addition, the killer's teammates will receive 200 gold. The killer does not receive this gold. If a non-player controlled unit lands the killing blow on the Snotter Boss, it gives 230 gold to the team instead.

In addition, the Snotter Boss will drop a Power Rune, two Tokens of Vision, and a Doom Bringer on death.
