Auras are passive effects that persist around the user and applies its effects to units around it. Auras can affect different types of units and does not always necessarily benefit the user.
Positive auras bestow its effects to the appropriate allied units, and almost all auras that affect allied non-hero units can be toggled to affect heroes only. Some auras behave differently with melee and ranged units, and may not affect either type of unit, or provide reduced effectiveness to one. Most positive auras also affect invulnerable units. Negative auras affect enemy units, and most negative auras can be toggled off.
Some auras do not provide a buff or debuff and only benefit the user, such as the charge-gathering aura for Mana Battery, which are not included in this list. There are also discrete auras used to program certain abilities, such as the corpse pickup range for Corpse Conversion. These are not considered conventional auras, and are not included.
Auras emanate from illusions, but illusions usually do not benefit from them unless it provides stats that illusions can benefit from. The toggle type will match what the original had at the time of creation, and cannot be changed by the illusion. Multiple auras of the same type do not stack.
Most auras will be suppressed while the user is stealthed and only affect the user until stealth is removed.
While some aura status effects may be shown as a buff or debuff (for the purpose of crediting Assists), it cannot be dispelled or transferred if it does not have a lingering time.
